<description>Well Here it is. The first track off my piano EP. (well actually the second, this is just the first I've uploaded)

The vocals were double tracked and recorded in my friend's flat using some pretty basic gear. The piano was recorded in a 300 year old chapel on a grand piano. Which had an extremely loud pedal but it's not too noticable thankfully.

My good friend Bella put double bass in a few of the tracks which sounds beautiful.

VERSE 1

I know all the things that people say I hear them everyday.
And I know all the things you like and dislike in me.
But I’m not ready for this kind of conversation where you break down,
What I am and what i wish that I could be.

I’m this passive little angel underneath it all,
But come across as something harder to digest, I guess.
When i’m older and i’m wiser I will know my weaker side,
But for now I’m young and bold enough with nothing here to hide.

<description>This is the full version  of my earlier post. This was created using individual samples which I edited into what you hear. The scratching was a mother but I got it finally. This was a BLAST, living out a fantasy as a rapper.......... lmao. If you don't laugh you aint got no funny bone,I don't care who you are that's funny right there.Feel free to sing along! For those who are impatient the fun begins at 1 minute 8 secs.I don't know if this is battle worthy but this post has got me the most responses so I have entered it in the August battle.So like my fellow homie  P Diddy says.... My father passed away a few days ago (4th of January)... so I'll be traveling to Chile (after 3 years in Norway) carrying his ashes... anyway, i think this trip and this experience might help me to get inspired and trigger some kind of musical reaction from my fingers.

<title>Fruityloops randomness</title>

Yeah that discussion about the FL plugins got me thinking... it's been about 5 years since I really worked with fruityloops 3 with the DJ's at college, since then I've just been using it for drum loops... but I thought it would be fun to have a play around!

This is only one min long but I thought it would be fun to make a short, simple track and master it fat!

Things I did:

Realised that I now suck at FL :-(
Used the pluck and Sytrus generators. They effing rule.
Used delay/reverb and EQ to make interesting drums sounds, and worked on different rhythms together.
Used EQ and panning to differentiate the different bits in the mix.
Used mastering to widen, fatten and enhance the sound, especially the low freqs.

Things I learned:

As above, I suck at Fruityloops.

The Fruityloops bundled compressor *IS* rubbish. An attack time below 5ms causes distortion, and it doesn't work properly because peaks still manage to get through the compressor.

The Fruityloops bundled reverb is rubbish.

So if you use fruityloops - get some VSTs in there!
